We look forward to having you join our Havurah. People who practice all levels of Judaism, from Orthodox to Renewal to those who just want to learn about and celebrate the religious and cultural aspects of the Jewish tradition, are welcome.

Experience the friendship we share during holiday celebrations, Shabbat dinners, special events, and support in times of need.
Members (Full Membership) are entitled to vote at the Annual Membership Meetings of the Umpqua Valley Havurah.
Events held in private homes are limited to Havurah Members and their guests.
Some events, such as the Passover Seder, may have a higher cost for non-members than for Havurah Members.
Members are entitled to free tech support from Daniel and Jerry. A donation to the Havurah from members receiving tech support would be gratefully accepted.
Members have access to books and movie videos from the Umpqua Valley Havurah Library.
New for 2018! Children in Havurah member families are eligible for a $100 scholarship to a Jewish summer camp.
Classes of Membership
There are two classes of members, Full Members and Associate Members. Full Members shall have one vote per member at any regular or special meeting of members. Associate Members shall have no vote, except as specifically authorized by a majority of the Board of Directors.
- Those eligible to be Full Members are those who are current in payment of their dues, who support the purpose of the Havurah, and who:
- Have at least one Jewish parent, or
- Have at least one Jewish grandparent and a desire to live a Jewish life in a Jewish home, or
- Converted to Judaism by a Rabbi of any movement recognized in the United States or in Israel; or
- Are the spouse of a Full Member.
- Those eligible to be Associate Members are those who are not eligible to be Full Members, who are current in payment of their dues, and who:
- Are raising the minor child or children of someone eligible to be a Full Member; or
- Demonstrate both support for the purpose of the Havurah and a desire to live a Jewish life in a Jewish home; or
- Are engaged in the process of a formal conversion.

You can become a member of the Umpqua Valley Havurah for the low price of $75 for a family or $50 for an individual per year!
