Women’s Group
Women of the Havurah Community
The women’s group is back in existence. The first meeting was in February, 2013 and we have been gathering regularly since then. Our meetings take place on the first Sunday of each month. We gather in each other’s homes for potluck brunch, conversation, discussion, and sharing.
Our purposes and activities continue to evolve reflecting our individual and shared interests. In past meetings we have celebrated our diverse backgrounds; shared our Yiddish vocabulary; and vicariously toured in China through a delightful Show-and-Tell. In addition to our monthly meetings, small groups have organized outside activities. For example, in the past few months some of us went on a garden tour sponsored by the League of Women Voters. Recently members joined the Havurah Theater Party to see a performance of “Fiddler on the Roof.” And two women organized a horse ride! Future activities may include a trip to Eugene to visit an art exhibit at Temple Beth Israel, a challah baking day, and any other event organized by members.
We invite all women of the Havurah community to join us. If you have any ideas or activities to propose, we are interested in hearing about them.
Meeting Times
We meet the first Sunday of each month, 11:00 to 1:00ish.
